HireMe
HireMe is a new recruitment business that needed a platform before it could launch. I built a complete job portal with dashboards for job seekers, employers and admins, and structured candidate profiles instead of CV uploads.

01Challenge
HireMe is a new recruitment business in Mauritius. It started with an idea and no platform: it needed a full job portal connecting employers and job seekers, built before its launch.
A job portal isn't one website, it's three products in one. Job seekers, employers and the HireMe team each need their own space, their own tools and their own rules.
What made it difficult
- Three user roles (job seeker, employer, admin), each with its own dashboard and permissions.
- Candidate profiles had to be easy for employers to compare, not a pile of CVs in every format.
- A recruitment workflow: employers review applications and accept or reject candidates.
- A business model: employers buy packages to publish job offers.
- Content for SEO and engagement: blog, FAQs and advertising space.
02Solution
I built HireMe as a custom Laravel platform with a dedicated dashboard for each type of user.
Structured profiles instead of CV uploads
This was the key decision. Rather than letting candidates upload a CV file, the platform uses a guided profile form: work experience, education, diplomas and certificates are entered field by field.
Every profile ends up complete and in the same format. Employers can read and compare candidates side by side, instead of opening dozens of PDFs laid out differently. And job seekers without a polished CV can still present themselves properly.
Three dashboards
- Job seekers build their profile, browse offers, apply in a few clicks and track their applications.
- Employers buy a package, publish and manage their job offers, review applicants and accept or reject them.
- The HireMe team oversees users and job offers, and manages the blog, FAQs and advertising spaces.
Built for a business, not just a website
Employer packages give HireMe its revenue model from day one. The blog and separate FAQs for employers and job seekers support search visibility, and advertising placements open a second source of income. Emails and other background tasks run through queues with Laravel Horizon, so the platform stays fast as activity grows.
03Results
HireMe has been delivered: a complete, ready-to-launch recruitment platform, built to the business's specifications.
- Ready for launch: all three dashboards, the application workflow and employer packages are in place.
- Comparable candidates: every profile follows the same structure, from experience to certificates.
- A revenue model built in: employer packages and advertising spaces.
- Content for growth: blog and FAQs to bring in traffic from search engines.
- Room to grow: new features can be added as the business develops.
