Dauphine Tours

Dauphine Tours is a tour company in Mauritius offering island excursions, car and scooter rental, and accommodation. Before this project, it had no website and relied on social media and word of mouth.

This was the first project I delivered as a freelancer. The brief was simple and the right one for the business: a clear website that presents its services and makes it easy for tourists to get in touch.

What it needed

• Three different services (excursions, rentals, accommodation) presented without confusion.
• English and French, for an international audience.
• A site that works well on mobile, where most tourists search for activities.
• A fast way to make contact, because travellers want quick answers before they book.

I built a lightweight, bilingual PHP website. No CMS and no heavy framework: the business didn't need one, and a simple site loads fast and stays easy to maintain.

Clear structure

Each service has its own section, so a visitor looking for a scooter isn't lost among excursions. The navigation follows the same three services.

Contact first

A WhatsApp button is always within reach for quick questions, alongside a contact form for more detailed requests. Calls to action on every page lead visitors to one of the two.

Dauphine Tours went from social media only to a professional website it can send to any traveller.
